Meet Our Coaches
Josh Baker, General Manager, Head Instructor
Josh is Zephyr Performance Training’s Fitness Director. Starting at the age of 7 with wrestling, Josh now has over 20 years of experience in training, competing, and coaching. He is a professional MMA competitor and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt who has had the privilege of competing on some of the biggest stages the in the sport. While he was studying to receive a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies from Rhode Island College, he wrestled in the NCCA Division 3 New England Conference. Additionally, he is a JSIWA 2018 Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee, for being a part of the 2-time Nationally Ranked and State Championship teams in 2006 & 2007, with the Jackson Memorial Jaguars.
In addition to holding the titles of Fitness Director and Coach at Zephyr, Josh is currently the Assistant Coach for Old Bridge High School Wrestling Team and the Head Coach for the Old Bridge Mat Rats, whom have won the Mid Jersey League the last 3 years in a row. He has had countless state-placed winners, league champions, county champions, national champions, and now is looking to carry the same success through Zephyr’s Youth Program. Working alongside non-profit organizations in the past, he has held the title of Senior Advocate for Youth Advocate Programs. By teaming up with Child Protective Services and the Juvenile Justice System, Josh worked with vulnerable youths, in order to be a role model and help provide a more positive outlook in their lives.
Josh continues to pursue this passion as the Director of Wrestling Relations for the American Grappling Alliance Foundation. His goal is to increase opportunities for vulnerable youth to participate in Martial Arts.
Mark is one of our Youth instructors at Zephyr Performance Training. Working with kids and pushing them past what they thought they could do is something he’s been doing since he was a child himself. His first job in high school was at a summer camp working as a counselor where he worked until graduating college.
His love of Boxing started watching some of the great fights of Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, and Lennox Lewis with his father and grandfather as a child. He then discovered a similar fascination in Muay Thai and began training in both techniques. While he trains solely for the love of the sport and is not a competitive person, he’s been handing down the core teachings and fundamental techniques of Boxing and Muay Thai for two years laying the foundation of our youth program. When he isn’t teaching our youth classes or training, he is creating content for our social media and website. Be on the lookout for videos, photos, and other content made by him on all our social media platforms.
Jenna is a Kickboxing as well as Boxing coach and the head instructor of the Women’s Combat Club here at Zephyr Performance Training. During her tenure as a coach, Jenna has also participated in several self-defense seminars in the roles of both demonstrator and instructor.
Jenna began her competitive career in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has since expanded into amateur Muay Thai kickboxing and mixed martial arts. She is a 2018 United States Muay Thai Organization’s east coast finalist and winner of the inaugural east coast Muay Thai Super Series. Jenna found her way to combat sports after training with a pre-professional dance company for 12 years. She hopes to share her love of the sport, competition and empowerment with her students through the women’s combat club program.
Currently, Jenna is just shy of completing her second bachelor’s degree in physical education from her alma mater, Monmouth University. She also holds a bachelor’s in Music Industry as well as several post-bachelor certificates in photography and graphic design.
NJ native professional MMA fighter Anthony Facchini is a proud to join the team here at Zephyr Performance Training. Hes has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for several years and currently holds a brown belt. With a long fight career including 11 professional MMA fights, Anthony brings a wealth of skill and experience to his classes and personal training classes. From killer cardio workouts to strength training, Anthony does it all and is excited to hand down his knowledge to those members looking to take the next step in their training.
